John Portnoy has been working in post production since his first job, syncing dailies for a Michael Jackson music video in 1991. Since then, he has been an assistant editor, editor, producer, visual effects supervisor, colorist, and post supervisor.

 

This broad experience was pivotal in his being hired to create and run the post-production department for Yari Film Group. John has served as post supervisor on over 30 films. In 2006, he created the post-production services division of Upload Films, the company he co-founded with Todd Williams and Nick Thurlow.
